Jeff

We appreciate the videos for August back to May. But it is important that all of the videos be made available for those issues promising them online since the CD was discontinued. Just put them on your youtube channel for a start. Not just part 1, but subsequent parts as well.

I am particularly looking forward to seeing part 2 and beyond of Keith Wyatt's Charlie Christian column from April this year. Part 1 was only the introduction to the column with virtually no exercises.

I have been a reader of Guitar World since the beginning, and it pains me to see this happening and am surprised it has gone on for so long.

Best wishes for sorting this matter out asap.

No disrespect intended, but this video download files issue makes GW look like amateur hour.

You expect subscribers to use a third party hosting service to get the videos? For non-hotfile users (those who won't pay for premium) each download takes roughly 15 minutes because they throttle it down for non-subscibers. (!) On top of that, we don't know which videos we are actually downloading because the file names are completely non-descriptive. What a waste of 35 minutes (download time, not to mention the 30 minute freeze-out between video downloads) to get all three July 2012 videos, only to find:

You haven't included the Glenn Proudfoot video (Loud and Proud, "Diminished Returns"). (??)

Where is it, please?

Believe it or not, some subscribers actually use this invaluable video information. We pull apart the lessons and work with them to improve our guitar skills. I'm sure your columnists appreciate that regular folks invest quality time with their work. You are really doing them a disservice by making subscribers jump through hoops to download the video content you all spent precious time creating. And I mean that as a great compliment to GW's exceptional columns each month.

My guess is that most of us don't practice guitar in front of a computer, so the "just watch the video online" argument is weak.

Times are tight in the mag world -- I get it. But this mickey mouse stuff is just sloppy work.

Please make the Proudfoot video download available at your earliest convenience.

Thank you, and peace.

Alright now someones slacking. Did someone get fired or go on vacation.?! Where are the aug 2012 videos.?You could at least offer clickable links in the interim. While an attempt was made below my postings to make a few available courtesy of Jeff Kits. They are still time consuming and tedious to copy. Please hurry. We're only asking you do what you do every month. Thank you.

Hey guys where are the Aug 2012 videos. You are all usually quite punctual and organized. I am sure you guys are on the job.
However please step it up. Thanks.

If you want to get a jump on the August videos downloads, here are the Hotfile links. Last Licks comes to us separately when Martin Goulding gets around to filming/editing it, so I'll post that when it's ready. Remember, space out your downloads.

Really need a link to the axe fx review.. I am unhappy with missing content. My DVD always worked and could be archived. You are lowering the value of GW with this missing content.

Fractal were producing their own video to go with our review...not our fault that they haven't delivered it yet. This isn't "missing content."

It's been obvious for a long time that the "reviews" are really advertisements. I don't mind, as a gearhead I actually like reading and looking at gear ads, but it's still pretty funny to have the manufacturer provide their own review video. It's taking it to the next step. But when they fail to provide it, it's not so funny :(.

It's now three weeks later, and still no Fractal video review. Yes, this is indeed "missing content."

Is there supposed to be a video for the Reverend guitar review? I have a Reverend Flatroc and think it is incredible. I was hoping there would be a video. Thanks!

Hey bubbakorshka thanks for the reply what are the last licks links for May 2012 & June 2012 Thanks

I have also asked regards "Last Lick" video links for past months. None of them have been included with monthly downloads. The good news is that July Last Licks have been included with July video downloads. Yayyyy (lol).

Maybe if we ask nicely, Martin might put them on his site, thought I'm guessing they are the property of Guitar World.

Can you supply the download link to last licks by Martin Goulding for Feb, March, April, May, & June 2012 thanks I am a subscriber & I don't have these thanks

bubbakorshka

There is no download link for those, and unfortunately there probably isn't ever going to be one. If you read the comments from previous issues you'll see the Jeff Kitts is the only one posting these DL links, and he can only offer so much due to worries about the filesharing account being closed.

That is why there are no longer working links to download any of the videos from July 2011 through March 2012, and why there were never any links put up to download any of the April 2012 content. I would get all you can from the May 2012 through July 2012 links while you can because it is only a matter of time before they are gone as well.

Sorry for the bad news.
