Doesn't matter who was more to your taste, the real point is that MTV used to have real musicians on their programs. Not the prerecorded junk they do today. It's just too bad MTV hasn't taken the time to re-release these early unplugged programs on DVD or even VOD.

agreed. When the hell will they start to release those unplugged eps? I would definitely buy them.

I remember when I first saw this vid. Don't get me wrong, I love Satch every bit as much as I love Stevie Ray, but, somehow, Satch's music doesn't seem to translate to an acoustic setting as well as his electric stuff, which is why it seems like Stevie just blows him out of the water in this gig (not that it's a competition, just MHO). ;)

I get what youre saying but the point of unplugged, I felt, was to take an artist out of their comfort zone and try something different. besides I felt that was a pretty decent Hendrix cover by joe.
