Breedlove Stringed Instruments is proud to present the 2015 Stage Series – designed and quality checked in Bend, Oregon. Here at Martin, we believe that the strings are the vocal cords of the guitar and should not be looked at as merely an accessory. We pour the same care and compassion into our strings as we do our fine acoustic instruments. Martin’s resident pro and manager of customer repair, Dave Doll, gives viewers insight on how Martin strings are made.
Thanks for checking out Acoustic Nation Players’ Pick –– a new poll series designed to let YOU decide what gear is deserving of our award. This time we’re checking out one of our favorite accessories — the capo.
Among the great variety of instruments that Martin Guitar makes, it’s safe to say none has enjoyed more popularity than the Dreadnought or D-size guitar. Today the Dreadnought is ubiquitous and found in every style of acoustic music. To learn the Dreadnought Story, click here.

I was lucky enough to get my hands on the Boss VE-2 Vocal Harmonist pedal (or my feet?). And once I tried it, I really didn’t want to part with it. Aside from adding cool vocal harmonies, reverb and delay to my voice, well, it’s just fun. I can sound like a whole chorus now if I want to!
Fender is proud to introduce two new instruments, the Brown Derby Resonator and Top Hat Resonator. Fender’s Brown Derby Resonator gives a jaunty tip of the hat to phenomenal round-neck reso-phonic sound and style. Pure resonator tone rings from the mahogany body and maple top, which features dual Fender “F” soundholes and a special Eastern European “Continental” cone of hand-spun aluminum.
