Today, we are sharing the band’s latest video for the song “Almost,” which has a interesting back story. Teicher discovered footage of his grandparents' journey of love, marriage, and family, and compiled these clips into a music video, pairing the beautiful footage along with the equally beautiful tune. This inspirational love story is strung together by a folksy, stark acoustic guitar and pizzicato strings.
Here’s the song “Heartbreaker of the Year,” the title track from Whitney Rose’s upcoming album, due out August 21. Stark and sultry, here Rose hits heartache right between the eyes. With a croon that wraps dances perfectly between plaintive guitar riffs, the Rose skillfully delivers classic country magic.
If you want people who are better than you to take the time to help you, then you need to take the time to help others. The answer to every situation in life is not, “How much can I GET out of this?” Sometimes, the reverse is true. Maybe what you GIVE is the important question to ask. And, sometimes you get more from giving than you get from trying to get all the time!
Here’s Megan Burtt’s “Spin” from her upcoming album The Bargain, due out August 25. Pulsing and powerful and lovely, Burtt gracefully manipulates words and melody into a sultry delight. Her velvety voice seeps right into your being as she pulls you into the gorgeous foray.
With a rumble and a twang, “She’ll Take Tonight” rolls off of Jamie Lin Wilson’s tongue like bittersweet honey. The song is from Wilson’s new release Holidays & Wedding Rings, due out May 19, 2015. It’s about that heartbreaking, never-ending search for love. And Wilson knows how to deliver that sentiment to a T.
Here’s a fun video. It’s Jamestown Revival kickin’ it up live in a decked out van at this year’s SXSW. The new song “Company Man" is a down and dirty slide-fest with a great background and some killer vocal harmonies. Catchy as hell, this straight ahead bluesy rocker is stuck in my brain!
Alvarez, which has had a long-standing friendship with band members Bob Weir and the late Jerry Garcia, has commemorated the group's 50th anniversary by releasing its new Grateful Dead series of guitars—a stunning, limited-edition line.
The Loar is excited to welcome singer/songwriter William Fitzsimmons as an endorsing artist. Fitzsimmons has achieved critical and widespread acclaim over the past few years with songs featured in TV's "Grey's Anatomy," "One Tree Hill," and "Burn Notice," and more.
We can always count on Candyrat Records to deliver the goods on a variety of acoustic-based music, and this new video (uploaded May 8) is a winner. Here we have Olivier Babaz performing Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven” using an upright bass and kalimba (otherwise known as a thumb piano). The most impressive part of the clip comes around the 2:30 mark, where Babaz pulls his best Page impression, nailing the solo on his upright bass. Never seen that before.
Today we’re pleased to premiere the stream of Sleeping Giant, the new release by The Cerny Brothers, available May 12, 2015 on Krian Music Group. The album is a thoughtful blend of acoustic-y goodness supported by some driving beats and heavier guitars. It’s the perfect union of Americana and rock.
