"RIP to old friend Dick Clark," wrote Deep Purple vocalist Glenn Hughes on Facebook. "Thanks for bein' Part of our Cal Jam TV Show."

Nice tribute from Glenn Hughes but Josh, not to be a prick, Glenn doesn't sing in Deep Purple at this time. He sings and plays bass in Black Country Communion.
Ian Gillan sings in Deep Purple presently. Glenn sang background and played bass with Deep Purple when they had David Coverdale as their singer.

What I wouldn't have done for that head of hair !!!
Yes, I am bald...

This is a very sad moment. Not many people touch so many lives. I stopped watching New Years rocking Eve when Dick left, it wan't the same. American Bandstand is one of those pop culture items that everyone will remember always. I didn't watch bandstand as much as most people did, but I thought the show was very important, and Dick alway seemed like a nice guy. You will be missed. Tell John (Lennon) we still miss him.
