August Burns Red Tour Blog: Week 4
Brent's vicious guard dog.
Our show in Allentown was awesome as usual, and we had a blast hanging out with some of our friends from home. Sadly we had a super long drive, so we had to part ways earlier than we hoped.
We then rolled into Columbus, where they crammed sooooo many people into a rather small room. The woman at the bar actually told me they would never stop selling tickets. She wasn’t kidding.
I had an amazing burger with some delicious fries and it was off to Canada. We all prayed for a smooth border crossing, and it helped because we whizzed right through. We absolutely love going to Canada, because the kids are so fun. Jade decided to eat some poutine—French fries topped with cheese curds and brown gravy—and it didn’t go over well. Sorry Canada, but that’s just one thing we can’t quite stomach yet.
Poutine: Proceed with caution.
After our quick trip to Canada we made our way through NY, stopping to rock out with Rochester and Albany before heading to Worcester to play Rock and Shock Festival. We were informed that after we played there would be some weird human tricks. We had no idea what to expect as we watched in horror as people threw darts at each other, and swallowed scorpions. Needless to say this was not the “shock” that we had hoped to see, so we walked back to our hotel room for the remainder of the evening.
We are now in Syracuse, NY, waiting to play the Lost Horizon. Tomorrow we are headed to NYC to play at the amazing Blender Theatre, and then its off to Europe. Hopefully two days at home will provide us with enough rest to power through these next few months. If you see us in Europe, come up and say hello. Make us feel welcome because we’ll be a long way from home.
Thanks to everyone who came out to this tour! You made it one to remember!
