Fargen Amplification has announced a new line of John Lennon signature guitar amplifiers. This is the first time Lennon's name has been associated with any amp or effect. The company's new Artist series features white components throughout, plus an acoustically transparent, UV-protected grill cloth that serves as the canvas for Lennon’s artwork. Five of the late former Beatle's designs are available in limited numbered editions of 11 each.

Over the decades, John Lennon's songs have been covered by thousands of artists. Just think of all the people — from unknown Lithuanian bar bands to Lada Gaga — who have had a crack at "Imagine." Today, on the 32nd anniversary of his death on December 8, 1980, I'm paying tribute to Lennon by rounding up five of what I feel are the best performances of his solo songs by other artists.

Today, November 29, is the 11th anniversary of George Harrison's death at age 58. It also happens to be the 10th anniversary of the Concert for George, an event that was co-organized by Harrison’s widow, Olivia, and his close friend Eric Clapton that took place at a packed London's Royal Albert Hall in London.
