Paul McCartney's 1971 album, Ram, will soon get the same deluxe treatment recently enjoyed by Band On the Run, McCartney and McCartney II. Ram, which is technically credited to Paul & Linda McCartney, was McCartney's second post-Beatles LP.

Guitarist Andy Timmons and his band -- bassist Mike Daane and drummer Mitch Marine -- will perform Monday, March 19, at Iridium in New York City. Timmons will highlight songs from his 2011 release, Andy Timmons Band Plays Sgt. Pepper, an all-instrumental affair that pays tribute to The Beatles' 1967 masterpiece, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

Forty-six years ago today -- March 4, 1966 -- the London Evening Standard published an interview with Beatle John Lennon. It was written by Maureen Cleave, a reporter who was friendly with Lennon and the other Beatles. Most of the story was a fascinating portrait of Lennon's home life. However, at one point, we find this: "We're more popular than Jesus now; I don't know which will go first -- rock 'n' roll or Christianity."

Although George Harrison -- aka "The Quiet Beatle" -- died of cancer in November 2001, his influence as a guitarist, songwriter and singer is still felt. And, despite the fact that Harrison released several lauded solo albums and wrote songs for other artists, his best-known songs are still the ones he wrote for The Beatles.
