Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Paul McCartney and Dave Grohl Take Home Grammys

This show has been a joke since they gave Tull the Grammy over Metallica.

I said it 25 years ago and I'll say it again: Fuck the grammys!!! they screwed metallica in 89 and I hear this year they didn't mention two-time grammy winner Jeff Hanneman in the "In Memoriam" segment. What a joke these awards are.

I watched this last night, I wasn't impressed with Metallica. I've run the performance through several different EQ settings now and I can't help but feel this is a pretty questionable performance. It's not awful, but… At least the keyboard was killer. Hammett seemed to struggle and Hetfields' vocals came across week and flat. (maybe it was the sound guy, but I doubt it) I don't know man, for a band so famously obsessed with perfection, we don't see it here. Well, I guess any Metallica performance is better than none. The McCartney/Grohl performance was fantastic and the Nelson, Kristopherson and Haggard bit was pretty great too. I think my favorite moment was a music teacher winning a Grammy for the first time. I think that's a long overdue category. I wasn't able to catch the whole show, but for an award ceremony, I'd give it a B+ for what I did see.
