What's not to like about Dave Grohl? The head Foo -- widely known as "the nicest man in rock" -- recently posted a heartfelt "thank you" to fans via the band's official Facebook page. The message reads as follow:
Courtney Love's been on a rampage ever since a (probably) well-meaning fan held up a picture of a Kurt Cobain at a Hole show in Brazil. More so than the actual fan, Love seemed to use the opportunity to vent her frustrations towards former Nirvana drummer and current Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl.
Some of you may remember that Dave Grohl was credited alongside Lenny Kravitz on a song called "(I Can't Make It) Another Day" on Michael, a posthumous album from Michael Jackson. While Dave Grohl paying tribute to the King of Pop is certainly all good, it turns out that he doesn't actually appear on the song at all.
Foo Fighters mainman -- and former Nirvana drummer -- Dave Grohl has pretty much joined Cage The Elephant as their touring drummer. CTE, who are supporting the Foos on their US tour, are minus their drummer, Jared Champion, since his appendix decided to burst on October 10.
Last night on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, Roger Waters made an special guest appearance, joining Foo Fighters for a cover of the bass-heavy "In The Flesh," off the classic Pink Floyd album The Wall. You can check out video below.
It's a Foo Fighters extravaganza at GuitarWorld.com today, with Dave Grohl's lesson for "The Pretender" and "Rope," a Guitar World magazine cover outtakes gallery and the announcement of a new special publication, Guitar One Presents Foo Fighters.
