What a stupid leech! If a guy wants to quit a band thats the way it fuckin goes.If Damageplan had been BETTER maybe they wouldnt have played that shithole either. Retarded logic.Shes stupid white trash...Maybe LACK OF GUN CONTROL had SOMETHING to do with it instead of a guy voluntarily leaving a band? She needs a smack upside the head. She is not worthy of him by spewing this crap.By all accounts he was a great human being. Let it go.

Darrell Will always be in my heart. He was the most amazing guy. I look up to him. I have pictures of him all over my room. He inspires me still to this day i will never for get him. Just looking at his pictures you can see in his eyes that he was a kind and generous guy, I never got to meet Darrell, I hope i will in the next life.

Jeff, God of Bi...

...because I'll never forget it. It was about 4:45 AM EST December 9 2004 when I read my email from my friend delivering the news. I thought about trying not to cry. When you're in training in the Army they don't really care if your idol just died. But that day I didn't care where I was. I remember some people being awakened by my sobbing. I had never cried over someone dying if I didn't know them. Dime was like a friend. I met him once at NAMM and he was just as cool as all the stories you'll hear from other fans meeting him. I'm glad I had the opportunity but wish that those of you that didn't still could.

Theres nothing surprising here... its the typical over-reaction, over-analyzing, misplacement of blame that ALWAYS comes from humans that lost someone to tragedy. The fact of the matter is that there are probably at least 25 situations from the day of or day before the murder that, had they gone differently, Darrell might find himself alive today. People also talk of the fault of the venue and security... but the bottom line is that theres only ONE person to blame and thats Gale himself. Not his mother for buying the gun, not the Marines for teaching him to kill, and not Phil for quitting a band YEARS prior to the incident.

And as far as Lachman... he needs to get fuckin real. You dont step into the role of playing with someone of Dime's stature and NOT give the fans what they want. He knew what he was getting into... or SHOULD have. Maybe Pat wouldn't feel that way about playing the songs if he wasn't already a visual carbon copy of Phil.

I haven't read the whole thing, only the crap that is plastered all over the internet to sell magazines about Rita blaming Anselmo for Dime's death. I would love for this BS to end. I am so tired of hearing this kind of junk over and over. I am the biggest Pantera/Dime fan that I know. Hell, I even have a CFH tattoo and a Dime tribute tattoo. I in no way think that Anselmo should be held accountable for Dime's death. There is only one person responsible - Nathan Gale. People move in different directions, musically in bands all the time. Why should Anselmo be blamed for being the one to do it? Yea, it sucked when they broke up - but that was 8 yrs ago. I still wish they were together making music and even more so that Dime was still amongst the living. But, the trash talk needs to end. This time, Pat Lachman - Dime's new singer was brought into it. I can't say I blame the dude for not wanting to live in the shadow of what the four of them (Dime, Phil, Rex and Vinnie) had accomplished together in Pantera. It was a new band. You didn't see Down or Superjoint Ritual playing Pantera songs, why is it now so strange that Lachman didn't feel that crazy about doing it? Phil and Dime/Vinnie had a falling out, some things were said that shouldn't. Bands have power struggles. Especially big bands, like Pantera. I know Anselmo loves and respects Dime. Everyone has that friend that pissed em off due to this or that and that person said this, did this, etc. The Pantera camp never got a chance to work things out. I know they would have. Those dudes had something when they played/wrote music together, that could not be touched - they were brothers. Just look at how long it took for the original Black Sabbath to get back together. This is just old and beyond tired. Out of respect for Dime, I really think Rita and Vinnie should just let it rest. Remember Dime for the good times and let people peer into his life through interviews, not focus on high school drama BS. I miss Dime like everyone else. I know Rita hurts inside, but this kind of media exposure is doing nothing for her. I can only imagine it makes her feel worse inside, every time she does one of these "blame it on Anselmo" interviews. What's done is done. If you want to write Anselmo off - do it. You have made it more than apparent several times, that you have no intention on patching things up. It's done. Let it die already.

I still remember the day I found out Dime had died. December 9th. My buddies came over, woke me up and talked to me for a few minutes, then they looked at each other and said "we got some bad news, man." It wasn't the first time I'd heard that before, but I wasn't expecting to hear "Dimebag was shot and killed on stage last night during a DAMAGEPLAN show." In all the years that I played guitar, I'd only came up with two things that I wanted to do in my life involving music: make it as a musician and meet Dimebag Darrell. If I could, I'd raise the dumb bastard who killed Dime from the grave just so I could kill his ass myself.
