The eighth edition of the Experience Hendrix Tour will launch in March 2014. The month-long tour, which is presented by BandFuse: Rock Legends, will bring together a diverse group of artists paying homage to the genius of Jimi Hendrix.
As lead guitarist for Joan Jett and the Blackhearts for more than a decade, Byrd’s riffs propelled Jett’s best work, including “I Hate Myself For Loving You,” “Talkin’ Bout My Baby” and “I Love Rock 'n' Roll.” Byrd left the Blackhearts in 1993, a guitar slinger for hire, touring and recording with Roger Daltrey, Southside Johnny and Ian Hunter, among others.
Remember Rocksmith? No, they weren't an infamously unruly bearded Birmingham band that partied hard and toured with Saxon back in the day. Rocksmith, which was introduced in 2011, was (and is, for that matter) an interactive guitar-based game broke gaming ground by letting guitar players plug in and use their very own axes — Epiphones, Gibsons, Carvins, Deans, you name it — and start hammering away with their favorite rock bands.
