Foo Fighters Reissue ‘Colour & Shape’
Foo Fighters will celebrate the 10th anniversary of their sophomore album, The Colour and the Shape, by releasing an expanded edition of the project this July 10 through Legacy/RCA.
The two-disc set will feature the original album plus a second disc of bonus tracks, including covers of Killing Joke's "Requiem," Gary Numan's "Down in the Park" and Gerry Rafferty's "Baker Street," plus the Foo Fighter B-sides "Drive Me Wild," "Dear Lover" and "The Colour and the Shape."
The Colour and the Shape remains arguably the Dave Grohl–led group’s most popular album, having spawned the Modern Rock evergreens "Everlong" (No. 3), "My Hero" (No. 6), "Monkey Wrench" (No. 9) and "Walking After You" (No. 12). It was the band's only studio album to feature drummer William Goldsmith, who was replaced by Taylor Hawkins for the Foos' next effort, 1999's There Is Nothing Left to Lose.
The Foos are currently in the studio with Colour producer Gil Norton recording the follow-up to 2005's Skin and Bones. They will take a break from recording to play a few shows this summer, including a June 23 opening slot for the Police in Los Angeles and July 7 at Live Earth in London.
