I love Keith Richards playing, but it was his fault Taylor left & my first concert with Ron Wood was also my last Stones concert. They were okay but not any better than any other band. Why the bigger & bigger stage shows is for the grandchildren of anyone after who became a fan after '75. Most of their hits from the late '70 into the mid '90's were outakes from albumns worked on while Taylor was Still in the band especially Exile on Main Street.

I totally agree. While I love Keef's 5 string open G excursions, There is nothing about Keef's playing that suggested he could have come up with the sophistication of "Time waits by no one", or the coda on "Can't you hear me knockin" or "moonlight mile'. Even Jagger has said as much. I mean, the last, halfway great album by the Stones was "Tattoo You"..out takes from the Taylor era..
