Great song off Kalmah's "For the revolution" album. This song would make a brilliant transcription as it is fairly simple and so damn catchy. Very fun to play too :twisted:

I'm not a huge fan of black metal, but I like Kalmah.

I thought they were, but like I said I'm not that big on black metal, so I tend to group anything that sounds close into that genre.

So what are they?

Who knows... so many genres of metal. You could probably classify them under at least five genres. :roll:

If it's not thrash, black, or death metal, I don't know what to call it. I wouldn't have a clue what metalcore or deathcore is. I think the whole sub genre thing has gone too far.

Kalmah are melodic death metal. They've often been compared to Children of Bodom, they both come from Finland but Kalmah blows COB out of the water imho :twisted:
