I don't post on this site a whole lot anymore, let alone this portion of the site. I frequently check to see what the next issue is all about, though, and I'll be damned if Eddie Van Halen isn't gracing GWs cover AGAIN. Is there nothing better than Van Halen right now, or do people really have a raging hard on for Van Halen? I mean, I can listen to Van Halen every now and then but it gets old really fast. I really think you guys are beating a dead horse.
How about a little more diversity? It seems like all you guys cover anymore is classic rock and metal. I've also been seeing more recycled interviews. I just don't feel like the subscription is worth my money any more.

Yeah I agree with you. That's why I didn't renew my subscription. Nothing but reviews of gear most of us can't afford and Van Halen hawking more of his over priced shit. But I will say the Legend's issues are awesome as are the Instructional DVD's. So that's where my money is going now.

Apparently Evh is paying for this publication. I do believe that artist pay to have their name on this mag. I love classic rock, but unfortuanatly this mag is geard to younger audience. Ever since I subscribed I have not found a mag I like. How about a dvd featuring Keith wyatt? I love his column. I learned alot from him.

I cancled my subscription too. nothing but gear reviews and every other page is an advertisment and the only thing you can expect is a classic rock/southernr ock or metal interview. GW has turned into a joke. Unless your a 14 yr old metal head.

Excellent suggestion. A Wyatt dvd is long overdue - his workshop is my fave part of the mag.

It's a 30th Anniversary issue. EVH and Iommi are probably on the cover because they're the best representations of what Guitar World has been about over its entire 30 year history (which would rule out Kirk Hammett and Zakk Wylde as they arrived on the scene a little later).

Seeing that Iommi is on the cover, I was disappointed that there's no Sabbath/Heaven & Hell transcription in this one.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but this time it really does seem justified. It is after all the 30th anniversarry issue. Besides which, Iommi is on the cover, that is what's important.

I can see the vein bulging out of Jeff Kitts forehead from here Eddie's a dick. He must have a new pedal out or something. Maybe he can give us an update on all the stuff he hasn't done in the last decade. Like release new music I hope it's not as disappointing as the 300th issue.
