Hey andy, i was wondering how come whenever you interview some famous axe players such as Trivium, they never talk about getting endorsements. For example they always talk about their tours and favorite players, but they're never like " Yeah when I was a kid learning to play guitar I always wanted a_____ amp, guitar, etc. It's like they never talk about becoming famous, they take everything for granted which makes me really mad. How long does it take for someone to getting endorsements???

I know what your saying, you want to know just about everything about them being kids and looking at gear they want and theyre first guitars and them jamming in their room and stuff like that. Yeah they usually skip that multi-year time span.

My guess is they probably don't want to harp on that for fear of sounding pretentious. Maybe they're afraid they'll sound like Cartman before that Weight Gain 4000 thing. lol "Yeah! I'm going to be totally famous!" Seriously though, I think it would be kind of interesting if Guitar World asked well known players what their first guitars were and what they aspired to at the time they first picked up a guitar whether it was dreams of fame or not. Should be interesting considering that when you get better at playing the instrument and especially when you become a professional, it's certainly less about living the rock star life and more about the music.
Or at least that's the impression I get.

Famous guitarist's, they are being modest. Maybe thats why they dont talk about endorsments and what not.
I hope Mr.Aledort had a safe and wonderful Xmas & Holidays with his family. Have fun at BB's on NewYears.
