Each album is pressed on heavyweight vinyl and will feature the remastered mixes by Dave Mustaine with the original album track listings.

When Megadeth signed to Capitol Records they were already well established in the underground metal scene. A blistering three-song demo, which led to their debut independent studio album, Killing Is My Business…And Business Is Good!, and a string of now legendary west coast live shows cemented their reputation.

Their groundbreaking 1986 major label debut Peace Sells…But Who’s Buying? featuring classics such as “Wake Up Dead,” “Devil’s Island” and “Peace Sells,” reached No. 76 on the Billboard 200 chart and has gone on to sell more than a million copies, going Platinum in the U.S. and Canada.

1988’s So Far, So Good…So What! reached No. 28 on the Billboard Top 200 and features “In My Darkest Hour,” Dave Mustaine’s dark and heavy ode to the late Cliff Burton, the fast-paced “Hook in Mouth” and a cover of “Anarchy in the U.K.,” further bridging the gap between punk and metal and featuring original Sex Pistols’ guitarist Steve Jones.

1990’s critically acclaimed, platinum selling Rust in Peace features live staples “Hangar 18” and “Holy Wars…The Punishment Due.” Upon its release, Rust In Peace reached No. 23 on the Billboard Top 200, was Kerrang!’s Album of the Year, and is listed as one of the 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die, Metal Hammer’s 50 Hottest Thrash Albums of All Time and Revolver Magazine’s The 69 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time.

1992 saw the release of the Grammy nominated, double Platinum release
Countdown to Extinction. It debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and features the singles “Sweating Bullets,” “Foreclosure of a Dream” and “Symphony of Destruction,” all of which went Top 30 on the Mainstream Rock charts, with the latter making The Billboard Hot 100.

Megadeth’s sixth studio release was the Platinum selling Youthanasia. The album was released in 1994 and reached No. 4 on the Billboard 200 with the singles “Train of Consequences” and “A Tout le Monde” both reaching Top 30 on Mainstream Rock Tracks.
http://www.guitarworld.com/megadeth-vinyl-picture-discs-coming-november#comments Galleries News Mon, 15 Sep 2014 18:20:58 +0000 Guitar World http://www.guitarworld.com/article/22363 Scarlet Page Hosts 'Resonators' Photo Exhibit for Teenage Cancer Trust — Featuring Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Slash and More http://www.guitarworld.com/scarlet-page-hosts-resonators-photo-exhibit-teenage-cancer-trust-featuring-jimmy-page-jeff-beck-slash-and-more
Jimmy Page, Paul McCartney, Slash, Noel Gallagher, Brian May and Paul Weller are all Resonators.

These guitar heroes — and the rest of rock’s elite — are the subjects of photographer Scarlet Page’s latest project, an exhibition of epic portraits in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

The project, which is called Resonators, will open to coincide with the recently announced Teenage Cancer Trust concerts, which start at the Albert Hall today, March 24. She began her career in photography, establishing herself as a successful and in-demand music photographer. She had been taking pictures of bands for more than 15 years before she managed to shoot Jimmy "officially" for a Sunday newspaper. The resulting shot gave her the idea of portraits of other guitar legends.

“I really wanted to do a charity project and Teenage Cancer Trust, with its incredible musical pedigree, and the amazing work it does, seemed ideal," she said. "I’ve been shooting now for over a year, and I’m not going to stop just yet."

The Resonators exhibition can be viewed when attending performances or from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 29, March 30, April 6 and April 19. The body is a single piece made of Polyamide, which is an extremely tough and durable form of nylon. I’ve dropped the guitars a few times without damaging them.”

Inside the body frame is a wooden core to which the custom neck, made by Warmoth, attaches, and the core material matches that of the chosen neck material. “Customers can specify mahogany or maple necks and completely customize the electronics. They can also make minor modifications, like having their name, band logo, or other graphics 3-D printed on the back of the instrument at no extra cost. We can even adjust the weight to a player’s preference.”

ODD offers five guitar models — the Atom, Hive, Scarab, Spider and Spider LP — and three bass models — Atom, Hive and Spider LP — which range in price from $3,000 to $3,500.
