It's over, folks! The 2015 Winter NAMM Show took place Thursday morning, January 22, through Sunday, August 25, in Anaheim, California. As always, Guitar World NAMM-ed it up, shooting photos and videos, gathering endless gear news and trying out (and gawking at) the coolest guitars, amps, effects, devices and more that are being introduced for 2015.
Carvin Corp announces the formation of a new and separate company, Kiesel Guitars, which will take control of the guitar and bass manufacturing and sales of all Carvin and Kiesel brand instruments starting February 1. Kiesel Guitars owners Mark Kiesel and Jeff Kiesel formed the new company so they can focus exclusively on the advancement of instruments.
As a teenager, Paul Reed Smith dreamed of building guitars decorated with European-style dragons. Paul’s dream became reality in 1992 when he unveiled his first limited edition Dragon guitar. Since that time, PRS Guitars has introduced only seven Dragon editions, each in very limited numbers.
Reverend Guitars is introducing five new models to the line for NAMM 2015. All of the models push the boundaries of the line while maintaining the Reverend grit and innovation: the Descent, the Sensei Jr, the Tricky Gomez 290, the Bayonet RA 90 and the Double Agent OG.
ESP is adding dozens of new and updated LTD models to this year’s lineup. “LTD represents the ‘bread-and-butter’ for ESP dealers, with affordable guitars and basses for all levels of musicians,” says Matt Masciandaro, ESP president and CEO.
