What is the greatest pie, apple or pineapple?

Ace Frehley; from smiley party budy to the most anguished guitar performace on stage with no regrets, a rockstar from the outter space, loved or hated he's always there paired with the greatest... Ace the true guitar hero by itself!!!

Of course I picked Blackmore, he was a major influence growing up...but Ace? Don't you think that was a little unfair? If your gonna do a poll, don't you think you should put together artist that are more evenly matched? C'mon guys, I know your smarter than that...

Seriously now, 30% really think Ace's solo is better? What are they listening to?

I don't like this poll, It makes Ace looks as Mary Popins!

Im going with Ace Frehley because he is my main influence. I like Blackmore alot as well.

Hope you are kidding - otherwise I don't think you should admit that to the public ....

or The penguins vs the Bruins

This is reminiscent of "Godzilla vs. Bambi". It puts the credibility of this poll in the toilet.

You're joking, right? Ace vs. Ritchie? What's next, Keith Partridge vs. B.B. King?

I thought that this was a poll about musicians, not actors.

Well that was an easy choice. Although Ace getting 24% last time I looked does Shock Me. Sorry, that was a horrible pun!

I like Ace, but putting him on this list is definitely a gift. Not to mention, the song version intended is a live concert Ace solo break off of Alive II. It would be like posting one of Blackmore's 20 minute concert solo's on the list. Doesn't belong...and imo, neither does Ace.

I can already see that there are serious issues with this poll. The songs were taken from an already existing GW 100 Greatest Guitar Solo's list (comprised by who the f**k knows). The list looks more like it was from that of that of a casual fan, rather than someone that actually knows guitar.

Case in point, Highway Star is not doubt a classic song with a decent solo, but if we're looking for the GREATEST solo's, the one Blackmore did on Child In Time blows the Highway Star solo out of the fricken water!

I can't stop laughing at this one! I mean, I love Ace! But it's like me trying to box against Tyson! Hysterical! Love it!

You're joshing, right?

Nothing against the mighty Ace, but tossing him out head-to-head with Blackmore is rather like Perseus tying ass with Zeus. He'll put up a good fight, but won't end well.

Blackmore wins.

Live versions of any song with or without the instrumental the solo takes place. The choice is mostly from the whole group where to place the exhibition. Guitarist favor, the choicest solo of the album or where the soloist she or he likes to give the band a rest after all those time changes. Now someone who can play in any category can under stand the influence they are about to receive. Live versions are not planned they are just part of the environment not the situation. Because if we knew it then who would like it. Not even the guitarist. So the solo remains a comfort zone for any level of player.

Shock Me is one of my favorite Ace solos, but it just simply can't compete with Ritchie's iconic Highway Star solo!
