i'd rather take any of the solos off the First rays of the new rising sun album. little wing - sweet song, fitting solo for that mood. Jessica... Meh...

Imo, people in this round are voting for "Little Wing" just for the sake of voting for Hendrix. In reality there's nothing special about that solo to warrant it even being on this list.

A solo performance compared to today's standards is said to be aka "unplugged". Jimi is playin in a feature showcase just showing 180 degrees of the other side of playing and in a white background. It fulfills its purpose with just a plugged in guitar. No psychedelics just his clothes. Every song from Jimi is a solo performance except that here he is playing mostly blue arrangements along with some bass lines from the bass.
