I truly do not know why anyone knows who this guy is.

You can walk into any music store across the USA and hear him playing a used guitar next to a cardboard sign that reads "No Stairway, No Sweet Home..."

Isn't this the same guy that has based his image on a johnny depp character and also tried to pass his bandmate of as his sister and she is really his ex-wife?? But I do agree with his original comments on image in today's culture.

Captain Obvious says what everyone already knows....and then backpedals on his initial correct comment to boot! Well, played, Jacko!

Are any of you commenters in the business? No, because if you were you would know that a gimmick is necessary for this trade. The question is what is your gimmick based on, reality or fantasy? We have a little too much fantasy in today's world and anyone that gives gaga a dime is a massive fail. Rage on Jack!

What was Robert Johnson's gimmick again? Ohh and was david bowie's gimmick based on reality or fantasy.. should we not give him any respect either? Just looking for consistency in your troll response.

I love Jack, but he really can't say much about someone caring too much on image...

I don't necessarily disagree with the thought, just find it ironic coming from him. He's on record talking about how important and how deliberate image was for the White Stripes.

haha all this from a guy who got famous for a hack music video.

...says the utter hack guitarist who you've only heard of because he started a gimmick two-person band that was famous for looking like a Target ad come to life. YOU'RE SO ALTERNATIVE, JACKO!
