YOUR TIME IS GONNA COME: The Zeps in 2003

The word is nearly official: according to World Entertainment News sources, rock legends Led Zeppelin are planning to reunite and may launch a tour next year.
Sources close to the Zeppelin camp say members Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones plan to reunite for a one-off memorial concert in London for Ahmet Ertegun, the Atlantic Records founder who died in 2006.
"Page, Plant and Jones spoke and agreed to do the memorial concert,” says the source. “They are waiting for a definite date."
Led Zeppelin recorded on Atlantic, and the group’s label, Swan Song, was a subsidiary of the Atlantic label.
In addition, if all goes well, the group have reportedly agreed to follow up the memorial concert with a tour in 2008. “It has been hoped for and denied for years,” says the source. “But this is the closest they have ever come to a reunion tour. The feeling is that this is going to happen next year.”
Led Zeppelin's members have performed only on a few occasions since they broke up in 1980 following the death of drummer John Bonham. Reportedly, Page, Plant and Jones will perform with Bonham’s son, Jason, for the Ertegun concert and tour.
Rumors of a reunion tour previously surfaced in 2003 when Page, Plant and Jones reconvened to announce the release of the triple live album How the West Was Won and video collection Led Zeppelin DVD.

You are the best, vikingrat! Pagey has Korean roots? Did you ever hear the Like! Ha-ha! We're having a fan! I think someone need to visit to Doctor of Medicine from Bath Health Centre. :)
As you know Russia is a small country between Poland and Korea and so many rock stars found out their roots there recently. Why? I don't know, but even Steven Tyler of Aerosmith and Yoko Ono (!!!) told about it. Who's next... But Korean ones are something new.
I saw Jimmy in London last spring and he didn't tell me about that. Perhaps he don't know about it himself? :)

The Great Bass playing and arranging, fantastic guitar work, and in the pocket singing, putting that aside, ----
Led Zeppelin WAS John Bonham or mabye it should be, John Bonham was Led Zeppelin.
You play any Zep song, without the drumming of that man and its just not the same.J.P.Jones, i hope IF this rumor is true; well, You should spend alot of time with the Bonham kid, playing music, just bass and drums, and you two, get tight as a rythmn section.
----------
You and John, were the absolute best rythmn section around, and the under lying platform that everything else launched from.
It cant be done with out that.
---------
Thanks for the great rumor though!
---------
Please dont do it unless its right.

Plant / Page may have not been an "offical" reunion but considering they pulled out plenty of Zep material (Black Dog, Dancing Days, Kashmir) with the exception of the Coverdale / Page "Shake My Tree" it might as well been a reunion.
One of the best shows I saw. Hopefully they still have something left in the tank after 13 years. And yes, no one but Jason (Bonham) needs to be behind the kit.

I can't wait. I probably can't afford the tix, but I would LOVE to be there. I've waited for this since 1980. Jimmy REALLY started looking asian after he got into smack. I don't recall reading or hearing about his Korean roots, so I'm not sure that's accurate, but it would explain his eyes.
