Jesus there's some uptight people about. If you did any due diligence at all before opening your mouth you'd discover this guy, Russ Parish, has been a long-time instructor at various illustrious guitar colleges alongisde the likes of Gilbert and Becker - who are also excellent. Just because 'Satchel' decides to cloak his teaching in light humour (which admittedly isn't to everyone's taste) doesn't denigrate it at all, in fact I'd rather be taught by him than one of those guys who takes themselves so seriously their face would crack if they tried to smile.

One would have to look seriously at why someboby would go through the hassle of creating an account just to diss somebody - says much more about the poster than the subject.

Steel Panther may be a joke to some, but that's the point - they are comedians playing a role and playing it very well I might add - nobody's done it better.

what a douche... speaks about arpeggios like they're some holy revealations -_- anyone thinking he's a 'teacher' can go watch Jason Becker or Paul Gilbert videos and see what REAL teachers are like... -_-

Satchel is such an amazing guitar player, and also a teacher, despite the humor, he has such a clear idea in his head about what to use and NOT to use, and you can tell from Steel Panther's guitars!
