To mark the tenth anniversary of the passing of legendary metal vocalist Paul Baloff, Exodus and a bunch of their thrashiest friends -- Heathen and Forbidden, to name a couple -- held a concert in his honor, aptly titled Bonded By Baloff.
Over the weekend, Metallica posted the following message to their official website: H"ey boys and girls...a date to note from your friendly 'Tallica boys, February 7 at 11am Pacific time...right here!"

Apparently, Hulk Hogan almost joined an early version of Metallica. The former WWWF champion wrestler, who stars in his own reality TV show, Hogan Knows Best, told The Sun in England that he and Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich were tight during Hogan's days as a session musician.

Some new guests have been added to the lineup of NAMM Metal Jam 2012, which takes place tomorrow night, January 18, at Chain Reaction in Anaheim, less than a mile away from the Anaheim Convention Center, which will be hosting the Winter NAMM show this Thursday through Sunday.
