Metallica performed a new song, the eight-minute-long "The Lords of Summer," in Bogotá, Colombia, Sunday night. It represents the band's first new original song since the tracks found on their 2012 EP, Beyond Magnetic.
Earlier today, the band posted a photo, which you can check out below, to their Facebook page, along with the caption: “Working out the kinks in the new song that we’ll be debuting in South America in a couple days.”
Metallica have posted a free download of a September 21, 1986, London show in support of Master of Puppets. The concert, which place at the Hammersmith Odeon, marks one of their last shows with bassist Cliff Burton, who died after a bus accident in Sweden on September 27.

An all-star group of Ronnie James Dio's friends and fans recorded 13 of their favorite tracks for a new Dio tribute album, This Is Your Life, which will be released April 1 by Rhino. Proceeds from album sales will raise funds for the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund.
