EVH is a great guitar player no question. But his reasons for not putting out anymore recordings was lame. If he just put out a solo record he would not have to make sure his brother liked the songs. Lets be honest, Alex is a good drummer, but not great by any stretch. It would be great to see Ed working with other players that are at his level. Imagine him playing with Billy Sheehan and Neal Peart. That would be badass!! I think a new Van Halen record with Ed, Dave, Alex and Wolfy would do great. His last album with the extreme guy did not do so well. That was no shock!

Van Halen always rocks no matter what he is playing, he is the only guitarists that I have ever known that can take any old piece of shit guitar and make it sound like a million bucks every single time. Even if he makes a mistake is still sounds good and most people never know there was a mistake.
There has never been anyone like him and I have a feeling that there never will be again. Its not just speed and tricks, it’s just the sound, a sound all his own.

Just go to www.911tabs.com for a guitar tab they don't have published. Guitar world is not the only place to find tabs. But an iommi tab wouldve been nice fellas. And can we get the posters back?

i know about 911 tabs and ultimate guitar tabs. these aren't always accurate. i'm paying guitar world. i've been a subscriber since 1991. it's ridiculous how many of the same tabs i have from this magazine. i don't buy the magazine for pictures or stories. idiot

Dude you have been getting the magazine for about 19 years surely you would know that Guitarworld hasnt always had tabs and was mostly a magazine that gave information(stories) about the musicians. It was not soley created to give you the tabs you want. And instead of bitching about getting the same tabs over and over again give them examples of what you want. 911 tabs are very acurate also if your having a problem with a song learn to play by ear dipshit instead of coming on here and bitching about the tabs they put in the magazine. I would like to think that if you have been playing for over 19 years you would know how to play by ear atleast a little bit.

Yes, i know they haven't always had tabs, but they have since i've been buying or subscribing. i can play by ear, but i actually have a job and family, so i don't have time to just sit around all day trying to figure out songs by ear. Maybe if i was a little douche in my mom's basement like yourself, i would have time for it. so shut your mouth boy

Seems better than the last repeat of song, i'm just wondering why my magazine comes like a week after it is released to the newsstands? I pay for a subscription and all but sure would be nice to get it that day it comes out or even a week before "Joe no subscription" get his. EDDIE RULES!!

The songs this issue are likely to get good reviews from us readers. I could go without the Kings of Leon though, thats songs catchy but simple as shit

another issue where 60% of the tabs are re-posts from previous issues. and the new ones are worthless. this is why i liked having other mags as well, between two or three a month, you might get enough new tabs to fill an issue.
