I can't believe there is another Avenged Sevenfold tab in this issue. I fucking hate this band. Please stop transcribing their shit!

Yeah let's all get on Guitar World to actually transcribe something they've NEVER EVER had in print. I feel you on that. I own every guitar tab magazine going back to 1983. You wouldn't believe how many times I roll my eyes when they once again transcribe songs, they did years ago. Or their sister publications had in print. I've actually written to them, but it does no good. I hate new music, but I totally understand why they put those god awful metal bands in the mag. I see the appeal for the youngsters. (sadly) But give us stuff you have NEVER, EVER printed before!! *sigh*
Side note, thanks for the McCartney song. First time ever in tab, so that's cool. However, first time in awhile for a never before transcribed classic rock song. So maybe they are on the right track??

i know rockshow, i never said they weren't great for there time. I never got into Paul or any of them. Thats just me. id rather have never artist that haven't been talked about for 40+ years now. I do beleive Lennon said "there was nothing before Elvis". So where is the Elvis stuff if he started everything. Id rather have some blues artist, yeah theres been a few but i haven't seen any luther allison tabs, or newer blues like Eric Sardinas. I just want something new.

Yo Spike! GW is not really trying to do a "second coming" of The Beatles as you put it. Looks like they will focus on more of the solo years. Lennon just celebrated a would be milestone b-day, so they reissued all his solo works. And Paul just released Band On The Run again. And all his solo stuff will be out early next year reissued. Plus not only that- The Beatles are the greatest band in the world, and every few years we go through some sort of new release. It all started in 1996 with The Anthology Series. You had the Number 1 CD come out, which still had The Beatles in the #1 spot years after the break-up. That's why they are the greatest. Like them or not, you can't take away or argue with what they accomplished in only 6-7 years. They had that circus silly broadway stuff, and The Rock Band thing was a bit much last holiday season, but whatever I see the appeal. The Beatles reissues are absolutely amazing IMO. When you have a chance, go back and read old GW interviews with some of the greatest rock stars of the past 20 years. Most if not all will mention seeing The Beatles on the first Ed Sullivan T.V. appearance in 1964! And that's what did it for them! Or for the young bands today, they will have had older brothers to credit. You can't deny their place above all in the history of music.

Perhaps these decisions are already set in stone, but I think one of the next few issues should have a Mastodon tab in them. Thanks for the interview or otherwise in this issue, hopefully it will be enough to tide me over.

i wonder who is battling for the most covers of the year, Zakk or the Beatles. What is with the Beatles? you'd think everyone would be burned out of there second coming by now, i sure am.

I think the EVH guitar sounds perfect in this video! I would really like to know what amp he's using.
