I found Keith Wyatt's Talkin Blues video (Jan 2011) fascinating and very informative. It helped explain why I was having trouble with a particular progression of the Mayall/Clapton version of Hideaway. The rhythm changes from shuffle to straight beats for one progression! Suddenly a light went on!

i know i'm a little late but what a slap in the face for Perl Jam (who have never broken up) to be crossed out like a idiot that shot him self. The parade of horrible guitar world issues has made me regret renewing my subscription. I probably won't be a subscriber again. Same old one sided stories about who or what is the best, or what ever seems to be what the editor or who ever flunked out of journalism school writes about. The mag. is getting stale and predictable with every issue. I don't even look forward to getting the mag. anymore, the fact that i get my mag. almost 2 weeks after it hits the news stand is another issue. I feel like i keep reading the same mag. i first got 3 years ago.

The gear review I'm speaking of is the Ernie Ball Music Man Albert Lee HH model.

Did Chris Gill also illustrate this gear review? This is a GUITAR magazine, so whoever did the illustrations should be fired. It states that the compensated nut insures dead-accurate intonation, but the arrow point to the tailpiece. Someone needs to tell the idiot that is responsible for this mistake that the nut is on the other end. I'd expect this if the magazine was new or something, but it's GUITAR WORLD. Sad to see that no one caught this.

Issue looks great, but I don't know If I would call Soundgarden Seattle's greatest band. I think they are trumped by the band Heart.

Tabs are kind of lame - only one classic rock tab. But, I guess every issue can't be amazing, like the last issue. 90's bands are lame - long live the 70's!!
