I had a good laugh at the new Vai cover! The way the neck is drooping I thought an appropriate title woulda been "Vai-AGRA!!!!" The neck really coulda been broken "up" with him biting the strings in front of his face, or the strings slicing his face to shreds...Now that woulda been relevant. I agree with Jason Becker. I'd like to see him on the cover instead.

I am so freakin tired of these old 80's bands and they do not interest me at all
Give me AS I LAY DYING, ATREYU, THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA,NORMA JEAN,KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, BRING ME THE HORIZON,WITH BLOOD COMES CLEANSING,AVENGED SEVENFOLD,HASTE THE DAY,BLESSTHEFALL,AUGUST BURNS RED. I want tabs for that stuff and no slow songs. I liked the october issue,Slipknot,Bullet For My Valentine awesome stuff. What happened!!!! What is wrong with you guys!! Do some research!! and don't forget system of a down they may be just a little old but I still realy like them;mostly their fast songs. I want some hardcore,some punk,I want to see more diversity. There is just too much of one thing. Bring me some Pennywise and some Bad Religion too. Arsonists Get All The Girls, Suicide Silence. I will not buy another issue until I see a good change. I want tabs, stories, everything. This magazine is becoming quite gay.

Ya I agree Steve on the cover again! There are so many great guitar players in the world of music, the problem is most are unapproachable so we have to live with what GW can bring us. I would like to see Pete Townshend or Alex Lifeson featured. This magazine is great and I don't miss an issue but lately all it has been about is metal. Mind you metal is what I live for, but I am becoming tired of the same shit mag after mag.

Anthrax-I Am The Law or Medusa
Dokken-Dream Warriors
Soundgarden-Fell On Black Days.
Maybe even publish an Anthrax best of issue.

Now THAT's a fretboard workout. Still, good going GW.
+1 for Attitude Song. Complex, sure. But Shy Boy would've given us bass players a workout too! C'mon: its Billy Sheehan!!

Whish Steve would record more in this genre
Love his advance stuff, but I am missing the good old DLR and Vai/Sheehan/Bisonett days...!

Ok so I am seriously getting tired of these metal bands that are all morbid and emo without the glitter! if you're that mobidly depressed seek help! these bands with the one fingered chords bore the dickins out of me. just like all the Shawn Lane rip offs out there. when will someone do something new? I agree about the Steve Vai comment too. the next thing Guitar World will be doing is a Giveaway with his underwear. I LOVE YOU GUITAR WORLD but.... get it straight!

I like Van Halen, but we know he's good. All due respect to the members and Eddie especially, but it gets to a point where it gets a little boring. It's like that magazine called Hit Parader with Slipknot. Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing a cover with Steve Wilson of Porcupine Tree or Michael Romeo of Symphony X.
