The Pixies re-united seven years ago, and have since embarked on a successful series of tours, all the while refusing to enter the studio to record a new album. Now, according to drummer David Lovering, the band may finally be on the path to recording new music.

Mogwai have announced that they will release a new EP this fall. Titled Earth Division, the EP will be released on September 13 via Sub Pop in the US and a day earlier via the band's own Rock Action Records in the UK.
