Part of the excellent batch of young bands who excel at updating the classic thrash metal blueprint for modern times, Ohio's Skeletonwitch will release their new album, Forever Abomination, on October 11 via Prosthetic Records.
Jack White -- blues purist, garage rocker and noted Insane Clown Posse collaborator -- recently took part in the creation of an album called The Lost Notebooks of Hank Williams. As the name implies, the album features contemporary artists combing the lost notebooks of the late country legend and performing "cover" versions of never-before-heard songs.
The latest batch of wackiness from the Lips -- after releasing a 6-hour song -- is that the band are planning to record a 24-hour-long song. If that's not WTF-worthy enough, the final product is to be released inside a human skull. No, not a gummy human skull -- they did that already -- an actual human skull.
