Major oversight
Jeff Beck "Blow by Blow" reached #4 on Billboards top 200 ten years before Satriani.

Really, some people are bent because they ended the article with a tongue in cheek jab at Keith Richards? Learn to relax some friends. Maybe you'll get to live as long as Richards too then. I enjoyed the article and I sure as hell have room in my life for humor. Unfortunately, I'm seriously unlikely to live to his age due to a genetic defect, but I'm gonna enjoy as much of it as I can while I'm still here. So lighten up and laugh a bit.

How old is this article?? Pro Tools M-Powered isnt made any more, and Digidesign has bee AVID for 3 years!

Read that first paragraph again:

"Guitar World recently celebrated its first 30 years of publication with a look back at the most significant events to rock the guitar community since the magazine was founded in 1980. "

A little simple math reveals that it was written in 2010, hence the reference to Ozzfest in the present tense (2010 was its last year).

And Avid didn't acquire Digidesign until 1995, so it's correct to say that Digidesign introduced Pro Tools in 1991. The Digidesign name wasn't phased out until late 2010, and IIRC this article was actually originally published in late 2009/early 2010.

OK, maybe I'm misunderstanding this, I hope I'm misunderstanding this, but in the last one with Keith Richards are you saying that adolescents can go ahead and form substance addictions because "...if you stay true to the spirit of rock 'n' roll..." it'll all be good because Keith Richards is still alive?

WTF?

I have a feeling that his durability is more likely the result of genetics than the "spirit of rock 'n' roll." He got lucky.

Actually just read his bio recently. Keith Richards has had COUNTLESS blood transfusions. He has tons of $$$. If they ever make another Terminator he should play the cyborg. Dude won't die...
