Pink Floyd's David Gilmour Discusses His Technique and Gear in 1988 Guitar World Interview

I'm posting this from the moon colony. I am not one of those who voted for "Dark Side of the Moon", I was pulling for "Interstellar Overdrive" by my fellow moon colonizer Syd Barrett.

Have I missed something. You say "David Gilmour, guitarist extraordinaire and only surviving member of Pink Floyd". Has someone else passed away I don't know about?

You didn't hear. Roger Waters was doing what was going to be his last The Wall concert anyway when a brick from the wall fell on him and crushed him. Nick Mason was doing a gig with Spinal Tap and just exploded sitting there on the drum stool.

That's from the intro to the story. The story was written in 1988, but the writer is "looking into the future," talking about 2010. In his version of the fictional future, Gilmour is the only surviving member of the band.
