Queens of the Stone Age to Finish New Album This Year
According to Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme, the band will complete work their sixth studio album by the end of the year. The band will enter the studio after they play this year’s Glastonbury festival.
Speaking to BBC Radio1, Homme said fans shouldn't expect any radical changes from the new material, saying: "We're at a weird moment where we really don't feel like we have anything to prove. We just want to play to the people that are into us, and we want to play right at them."
The band are on tour playing the entirety of their self-titled debut album, which was recently reissued, but the band are more than anxious to move on to new material.
"I'm not going to lie," Homme says. "I'm sick of doing the first record."
Queens of the Stone Age's last album, 2007's Era Vulgaris, debuted at No. 14 on the Billboard 200 charts.
