Ratt Working on New Album for Summer Release

Yes, they might have been at their most popular when Ronald Reagan was president, but Ratt are still making some of the finest '80s-style metal this side of Steel Panther.
2010's Infestation was a surprising return to form for Ratt, so fans of the band should be stoked to hear that they're writing a new album that they hope to release over the summer.
A posting on frontman Stephen Pearcy's official Facebook page confirms as much, saying: "Warren, Stephen and the band continue to write the new record. Expect a whole new breed of Ratt for a summer release and tour, TBA. Till then, there could be a few surprise shows."
There's also the small matter of Pearcy and Ratt guitairst Warren DeMartini recording a song for a secret Dave Grohl project -- one that may also include a contribution from Slipknot vocalist Corey Taylor.

Huge classic Ratt fan. But the constant break ups and infighting in the band have put me off. Enough is Enough.
Love Warren DeMartini, and Bobby Blotzer, but Stephen Pearcy needs a reality check. As a frontman live, he is bland. Sorry Stephen, but music is competitive and your showmanship proves you learned little from Aerosmith. A band Stephen claims were a huge influence.
I mean, Steven Tyler or Mick Jagger are mega giants. But they work their asses off and it shows. What's your excuse this time Stephen and can we expect another break up mid-tour? There you always deliver and can be depended on to hit the hand brake.
Many fans are at breaking point and regret their years of loyalty. They won't say it to your face, but boy oh boy do they say it in private. Because this band Ratt had phenomenal potential and squandered it! Many wasted opportunities and I don't say that lightly.
Thinking about Ratt, the band needs Juan Croucier back. Love him or hate him, but he added to the song chemistry. Robbin Crosby R.I.P is no longer here, but what would he think of Juan not being included?

For those who may not know, Carlos Cavazo of Quiet Riot fame is their second lead guitarist now.
