Readers Poll Results: The Top 10 Guitar Albums of 2000
Last week's "best guitar album" poll was another slug match between two runaway leaders. The top two albums soared high above the rest and fought hard to outdo each other.
And it was quite a good matchup. Both albums fall into the same genre; they feature loads of inventive but technical guitar work, and they were both long-awaited returns after the bands' respective hiatuses.
Of course, there had to be a winner. After a few days of voting, a lead was taken and never relinquished. From that point on, there was no ambiguity. The No. 1 album earned its spot with a heavy margin of votes. But the No. 2 pick can't be overlooked. Having raked in more than double the votes for No. 3, its silver medal is more than appropriate for such a worthy contender.
Here are your top 10 guitar albums from 2000.
Thanks for voting!
