Huh, great article and there is a 100% of truth in your words, some guitarists just want to play ultra fast-mind-blowing leads and they cant hold on a simple rhythm part. I'll be practicing some rests and different variations. thanks for the words.

Great points!

While a "bum note" is an inconvenience, "bum beats" can derail an entire song. Rhythm is AT LEAST as important as anything else!! Thanks for another terrific article, Ron!!

Good article! It's worth noteing that many of the players I've performed with who consider themsleves "Lead" guitar can barely "follow"
