Hey Ron, thanks for the video!

I always loved the idea of having one of these POD things as my primary "amp". However, I always felt that they can't create that warm sound which is produced by a "real" tube amp. Is there a trick or something I don't get? I also tried the HD500 but the sound was far from what I'm used to get from tube amps..
Do you use just the HD500? Or do you have a power amp and a guitar cab?

I'd love to work with one of the POD HD processors, but I really don't know how to make them produce that sound that gives me goosebumps when I stand in front of a guitar cab shouting at me from a 100W tube amp..
any tipps?

Michael

Excellent video. You have convinced me to buy the HD500. Can you give us the settings on the POD HD500 for examples 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7 or any of those to get that bell-like chime? Looking for the Hank Marvin sound. Thanks.

I need to learn more of the notes and notes names and where they are on the staff. I want to learn jazz so much but don't want to spend money. Anyway I am taking my guitar lessons and so if I can learn then I will play the song which I love. Help me please!! Go take a look:

I like the blues on the electric guitar but I don't know how to play it.I can only play wood guitar and need to see chords close up. I would also like to learn gospel through your guitar lessons. I want you to help me! Do visit:

Smooth playing Ron,Love the tones your getting,Need to find one of those line 6 POD,s. Makes recording so much easy.

Thanks Vinny! Those tones are all directly from the factory. I have my own and will be using those in the next. I really just used thise sounds to show how flexible and creative the unit is. Definitely get one...the HD300 is great too and costs less! I don't use the looping stuff and that may be one of the biggest differences. Look into it!

Hey Ron
It is so cool to see you play. I'm with Les...your hands are moving but it's like there is more sound coming out than meets the eye!!
I have been looking forward to see a video you throwing down with the Line6 gear and it did not disappoint.
It is a real treat to watch you play!!
Thanks large for that!
I've been on board with the Line6 gear since the first generation stuff, and it just keeps getting better. The JTV/Pod HD combo really is all you say it is, and it is another kick to hear that a real cat that digs the technology!!

I look forward to your future Line6 insights, columns and videos so keep 'em coming. It's always a good read!!
Thanks and keep up the good work!!

Way too kind Rags! Thanks! The sounds were all presets. This was just an overview. Will be getting more detailed and real world oriented in the near future. But it really is flexible in what can be created. And the guitar plays really well. Am having fun and making my clients happy!

Thanks Les! Appreciate the compliments! I have a right hand secret...ha! Kidding...Basic rule: Practice slow. Leave very little pick out. Never crossover onto another string unless you mean to play it. And I rarely press down hard or pick hard! I don't believe in working! Just want to PLAY! Thanks again!

i would love to have your right hand technique.... very beautiful and no wasted movement.....
great to watch and learn off of ....

been a line 6 guy for a while and i agree, makes life easier....my style has lots of open tunings and dobros and acoustics then a raging mesa thrown in so the gitter makes my stage life MUCH MUCH easier and my stress level is down.....(don't have to lug a bunch of gitters and now don't have to worry about them getting stolen at the gig.....

cheers ron always enjoy reading and watching your blog....
