Slayer Nab Best Metal Performance Grammy
Slayer's "Eyes of the Insane" has won the Grammy for Best Metal Performance, beating out Mastodon and Lamb of God, among others. This was the second nomination for Kerry and the boys, their first coming in 2002 for "Disciple".
Slayer were on tour and not in attendance at the Grammy pre-telecast, where the award was handed out.
Nominees in the category were:
