While we were writing the new record, my wife and I had been traveling around and it just so happened that the family we thought we had rented our house to…wasn’t the family we thought we had rented our house to! While we were away they turned it into a grow house. We found out about it and we had the police do whatever investigation they could.
Today, GuitarWorld.com presents the exclusive premiere of Damned Renegades, the new album by Davenport Cabinet. The project, which started out as a solo venture for Coheed and Cambria guitarist Travis Stever in 2007, has expanded into a full-band endeavor where he is joined by Tyler Klose (vocals/guitar), Tom Farkas (bass) and Michael Hickey (drums, percussion, vocals).
“I’m not a great communicator,” says Coheed and Cambria singer and guitarist Claudio Sanchez. It’s a surprising admission from someone who has not only spent much of his musical life behind a microphone but also masterminded one of rock’s longest-running concept stories.
With one excellent offering already under their belts in recent months, Coheed and Cambria won't keep fans waiting for new music long. The band will release the second part of their double album, The Afterman, in February, and earlier today a brand new song online. Watch the lyric video for "The Hard Sell" from The Afterman: Descension below.
Just announced is a slate of 2013 tour dates featuring Coheed and Cambria and Between the Buried and Me. Opening all dates of the tour is Chicago-based post-rock act, Russian Circles. Watch a trailer for the tour and get all the dates below.
It should come as no surprise that Coheed and Cambria and bassist Michael Todd have now officially parted ways. The bassist was arrested last month after robbing a pharmacy for prescription painkillers and fleeing the scene in a taxi. He was later arrested at the venue where the band was scheduled to open for Soungarden later that night.
Coheed and Cambria bass player Michael Todd was arrested on Sunday, July 10, for allegedly robbing a pharmacy in Attleboro, Massachusetts, shortly before the band was set to support Soundgarden in Boston.
