Recording is nearly complete for Lost On The River: The New Basement Tapes. The project features Elvis Costello, Rhiannon Giddens (Carolina Chocolate Drops), Taylor Goldsmith (Dawes), Jim James (My Morning Jacket), Marcus Mumford (Mumford & Sons) and producer T Bone Burnett. These musicians have gathered in Capitol Studios together to create music for two-dozen recently discovered lyrics written by Bob Dylan in 1967 during the period that generated the recording of the legendary Basement Tapes.

Not just for its musical guests, but for the edgy atmosphere of a live show where anything could happen, SNL definitely had its share of rock 'n' roll moments.
Elvis Costello and the Imposters -- including Steve Nieve, Pete Thomas and Davey Faragher -- have announced an extension of their Spinning Songbook tour. The tour, which started off as a two-week stint back in the spring, soon expanded to include 17 additional cities in June and July. The just-added dates are in September and October and find the band sticking to the East coast.
