Guitar World visited the Ibanez booth at last week's Winter NAMM show to see two versions of their new Mick Thomson Signature model guitars. Slipknot are headlining the Mayhem Festival this summer, and Thomson will actually be using the black version of the guitar with the "Seven" inlay. It features a neck-through design and Seymour Duncan pickups. On the left in the video is a Blood Red budget version of the model.
It's hard to believe it's been 25 years since the introduction of Ibanez's classic RG model guitars in 1987, but with a quarter century now under its belt, the model is getting a special treatment for its 25th anniversary in the form of the RG1XXV. An eye-catching guitar to say the least, the RG1XXV comes in your choice of fluorescent pink or fluorescent yellow.
Celebrating the release of The Devil Wears Prada’s newest album, Dead Throne, and their upcoming tour, Ibanez is giving away an ARZ autographed by Chris Rubey to one lucky winner! In addition to winning the same series guitar that Chris plays, the winner will also receive a copy of Dead Throne. Be sure to catch The Devil Wears Prada on their North American tour starting November 3 and heading to a city near you! Click here to visit Deadthrone.com for tour dates and more information.
