My heart goes pitter patter for the small body acoustic guitar. There’s something about its more diminutive body. Easier to hold. Easier to travel with, but still so wonderful sounding. Here are some lovely small bodies for every price range. Try one...you'll fall in love!
We are excited to give you not just one, but TWO chances to win a small body The Loar LO-16 acoustic guitar. Have you noticed that many players prefer a small body? Great tone and portability make it the perfect touring companion (and great for pretty much anywhere of course!)
The Loar has introduced the LH-301T archtop electric guitar. Building the LH-301T was an easy decision for The Loar's workshop after successes with numerous vintage-style archtop and small-body models.
The lovely and talented Sara Bareillies took the stage last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live to perform her single, " I Choose You" from her latest album, The Blessed Unrest. Her instrument of choice for the live performance was The Loar LO-16 small body acoustic. I don't know about you, but I've been seeing smaller body guitars popping up all over the place, and this one is sure worthy of a sit down. I'm told it has that front porch blues-box sound, which seems like a good place to start!
The Loar has introduced the LH-280, an archtop cutaway with dual humbuckers and a 16” lower bout. Based on a classic Florentine cutaway design, the LH-280 offers players classic archtop style in a versatile electric guitar.
Here's a Guitar World video from the 2013 Winter NAMM Show, which took place January 24 to 27 in Anaheim, California. During the gear- and rain-filled weekend, we paid a visit to the guys at The Loar to check out some new guitars. This video features the LH-319.
