The Winery Dogs — a new band featuring guitarist Richie Kotzen, bassist Billy Sheehan and drummer Mike Portnoy — have released a new music video for "Elevate," a track off the band's upcoming new album, The Winery Dogs. This is the first single from the band, which is planning a few shows in Japan this summer.
Adrenaline Mob and Kill Devil Hill are heading out on the road together for a brief tour in May. The shows, which will feature current and former members of Black Sabbath, Pantera, Dream Theater, Symphony X and Disturbed, kicks off May 10 in Cleveland.
Adrenaline Mob have posted samples of two new songs -- "All on the Line" and "Indifferent" from their upcoming debut album, Omertá, online. You can check them out on the band's Facebook page, or stream them below.
As we reported last week, Samson, Hartke, Zoom and Best Buy Music Gear are bringing a Metal Masters Clinic to the Best Buy Theater in New York City's Times Square on Monday, September 12. But what we didn't mention -- until now -- is that Anthrax will be performing a free show at the clinic.
Mike Portnoy is a name that has been synonymous with heavy metal drumming for the past 26 years, ever since he started the progressive metal outfit Majesty with fellow Berklee musicians John Petrucci and John Myung.
