There are a lot of scary-looking guitars out there -- some intentionally scary, some not -- but in the spirit of the occasion, we thought we'd point out the perfect Halloween guitar, in case your marauding demon rock star costume needs that finishing touch. It's Cort Guitars' Gene Simmons Axe Guitar, which we spotted at this year's Winter NAMM show in Anaheim, California.
Chris Thomas of C. F. Martin & Co. recently visited the Guitar World office in New York City. Accompanying him were four new Martin models -- a 00-DB Jeff Tweedy, a new D-18, the GPCPA4 Siris and a Custom Shop CS28-12 -- all of which were debuted by the Nazareth, Pennsylvania-based company at the NAMM show in January.
"When I first got to LA, I had that creme Les Paul, which is an amazing-sounding fiddle," Wylde said last week. "So I had the blonde hair and the creme Les Paul -- and it was gonna look like a Randy Rhoads tribute band when I get up there with Ozzy. So I wanted to get something painted on it. Eddie Van Halen had the stripes and Randy had the polka dots.
