When Guitar World finally catches up with her in Los Angeles, she’s just returning to the mainland from a show in Hawaii. Beyond the pleasures of globe trotting, she is clearly enjoying her long-running stint with the celebrated shock-rocker. “We get to celebrate Halloween all year long,” she says. “And I have the best seat in the house every night.”
Attention, Orianthi fans! The Women's International Music Network is giving you the opportunity to bid on a rare piece of rock and roll memorabilia: a Paul Reed Smith Orianthi Signature guitar autographed by the queen of shred herself.
On April 25, just prior to her show in the hotel's rock venue, Vinyl, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas unveiled a display honoring the work of Australian guitarist — and Guitar World cover start — Orianthi. As part of the production of the awards show, I also launched a new organization aimed at supporting and uniting female musicians, producers, engineers, executives, publicists, managers, teachers, students and everyone in between.
Orianthi is a triple threat. She looks good. She plays even better. And did I mention this girl can really belt it out? She's been touring throughout 2012 with Alice Cooper.
