So this guy brought the first Montrose record out and put it on. When I heard 'Rock the Nation' into 'Bad Motor Scooter,' I was like, ‘Oh, my god. I love this!’ It was so powerful."
It's hard to imagine that 10 years have gone by since Tommy Thayer officially took over as the “Spaceman” in Kiss. It seemed only fitting that the Spaceman should don the Les Paul. However, as fate would have it, Thayer has been a longtime Les Paul player, even back in his days in Black and Blue.
Epiphone has announced one of its most anticipated new models, the Tommy Thayer "Spaceman" Les Paul. The new model, which is named after — and designed for — the longtime Kiss guitarist, will be available in January. Thayer recently commented on the guitar on his website.
