Limp Bizkit singer Fred Durst has singed a deal with CBS TV Studios to star in -- and produce -- a sitcom called "Douchebag." The show will be written by Matthew Carlson, whose past masterpieces include episodes of "Malcolm In The Middle," "The Wonder Years" and "Mr. Sunshine."
Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumkins has started a new professional wrestling company, "Resistance Pro," in Chicago. He says he'll operate as its creative director. According NME.com, Corgan's role will be to create "story lines" for wrestling events and to be the public face of the organisation. Resistance Pro will host its first event, Black Friday, on November 25 at the Excalibur Club in Chicago.
The BBC reports that Gibson CEO Henry Juszkiewicz has joined together with the Tea Party to protest against the US government. Federal agents raided a Gibson factory under suspicion the company was importing illegal wood for guitars, and an investigation is under way.
Foo Fighters mainman -- and former Nirvana drummer -- Dave Grohl has pretty much joined Cage The Elephant as their touring drummer. CTE, who are supporting the Foos on their US tour, are minus their drummer, Jared Champion, since his appendix decided to burst on October 10.
