Drummer Dave Lombardo has been fired from Slayer — at least the band's upcoming tour of Australia. Lombardo, who has enjoyed three stints behind the Slayer skins — 1981 to '86; '87 to '92 and '02 till just recently — posted a memo on his Facebook page last night to share the news that he was being replaced for the tour.
On April 2, Stax Records, a unit of Concord Music Group, will release the deluxe edition of one of Albert King's most revered albums — 1967's Born Under a Bad Sign. The album will feature bonus tracks and updated liner notes by music historian Bill Dahl.
